State police have released their final tally of incidents they handled over the IUPattys weekend, and they note specifically that there were no reported incidents of simple assault or aggravated assault, in sharp contrast to previous years.
The breakdown of 512 incidents shows 145 criminal arrests and 367 traffic-related incidents.
State troopers made 44 drug arrests and 21 arrests for public drunkenness. There were 20 arrests for driving under the influence, seven disorderly conduct arrests, three arrests for criminal mischief, and eight arrests for miscellaneous offenses,
On the traffic side, troopers issued 229 written citations and 91 written warnings. They had 30 vehicles towed, investigated eight crashes, and assisted nine motorists.
The IUPattys detail was activated Thursday and lasted through Sunday.
