The Bellwood-Antis Lady Blue Devils won their first ever PIAA Basketball Championship nipping West Catholic of Philadelphia 45-42 in a game played at the Giant Center in Hershey earlier this afternoon.
Bellwood-Antis and West Catholic both ended two Indiana County based Heritage Conference teams bid to play for the state title last Monday as Bellwood came from behind to end the Blairsville Lady Bobcats season 41-36 while West Catholic did the same to Penns Manor, 50-48 in overtime.
