Authorities continue to be busy as IUPatty’s weekend continues.
State Police are releasing few details on who is being arrested and faces charges, but that information is expected after the weekend ends. But they have been releasing what they have been investigating as part of their IUPatty’s detail. On Friday, State Police were involved in five drug-related investigations, two incidents each of DUI and Underage Alcohol Possession and one incident each of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. This is more activity from the day before, but that was expected as activity is starting to ramp up.
Just a reminder that police are following a “zero tolerance” approach this weekend, and there are extra patrols including mounted police from the State Police and police officers from other municipalities offering their assistance. State Police also want to remind everyone that it is “unlawful for any person to willfully or maliciously taunt, torment, tease, beat, kick or strike a police animal” and is considered a third degree felony.
