During the investigation of a traffic incident on Philadelphia Street that lead to someone’s arrest, a 21-year-old Fairview man was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property.
While State Police were investigating the traffic tie up on Philadelphia Street at 11:21 PM Thursday, the Fairview man, who was not named in the police report, started to yell out of an open 2nd floor window in the vicinity of several troopers and officers. When the officers replied, one of the troopers noticed through the window a stop sign on the wall. When troopers made further contact, they found the man had both a stop sign and a one-way sign on the wall, and that his room-mate, who was not present, had a bong, a grinder and other items of drug paraphernalia.
The man was arrested, processed and released pending the filing of charges of receiving stolen property and disorderly conduct.
