In spring training baseball last night, the Pirates were edged by the Blue Jays, 5-4. Colin Moran had three singles for the Bucs, and he, Francisco Cervelli, and Adam Frazier had RBI singles in defeat. Pirates starter Chad Kuhl tossed five-and-a-third innings of one-run ball with Felipe Rivero giving up another homer and taking the loss.
The Pirates play the Phillies today in Bradenton, with lefty Steven Brault getting the start.
