Penelec Customers in the Homer City area will go without power for a part of the weekend as part of some maintenance connected with the Route 119 improvement project.
The planned outage will be Saturday from 6 AM to 2 PM, and will affect 466 customers. The reason for the outage will be so that Penelec Crews can move it’s poles, wires and other facilities as part of the road widening project. In order to do that safely, they will power down the lines that are currently in place to move the items currently in place to the new poles installed.
If the weather prohibits work on the project this weekend, the work will be done at the same time on Saturday, March 31st.
