BURRELL TOWNSHIP
Two Washington County men have been accused of pulling off a big retail theft from the Burrell Township Walmart store last month.
State police say 32-year-old Joshua Kefover of Donora and 40-year-old Darryl Trinkala of Charleroi stole $5,586 worth of merchandise from the store, simply loading it into a shopping cart and rolling it out the door on the night of February 24th. Police don’t say what type of merchandise was involved. The investigation led to the two suspects.
Trinkala is charged with retail theft and defiant trespass. Kefover is charged with conspiracy to retail theft, defiant trespass, and driving while suspended. They are awaiting preliminary hearings.
Both men are facing charges in a similar incident three days earlier in Peters Township, Washington County. Both have extensive criminal histories, and Kefover has three active cases in other counties. He’s awaiting trial in two theft cases in Allegheny County and one in Westmoreland County.
