The IUP Crimson Hawks will take on Stonehill College in the NCAA Division Two Elite Eight in Sioux Falls, South Dakota tonight. IUP is seeded fifth in the tournament and Stonehill, coming from Easton, Massachusetts, is 4th. Both teams are 29-3, with IUP having won the Atlantic Regional championship and Stonehill the East Regional.
IUP has actually played Stonehill once before, in 1991 in an early-season tournament in New Hampshire. Stonehill won that one, 87-74.
Stonehill is led by senior guard Kelly Martin, who averages 16.3 points and 5.1 assists per game.
