There have been a number of accidents on area roadways over the last couple days, including two Saturday night in the 9 o’clock hour.
Indiana County 911 lists accidents at the Route 119 / Route 22 interchange at 9:39 PM, to which Blairsville and Black Lick firefighters responded. And at 9:51, Indiana firefighters were summoned to an accident at the Route 422 / 119 interchange in White Township.
A Shelocta woman suffered a suspected minor injury, but did not require medical treatment after an accident Wednesday morning on snow-covered Girty Road in Plumcreek Township. State police say 28-year-old Mariah Cunningham’s northbound SUV crossed into the opposite-bound lane and then left the roadway, traveling up an embankment and ramming head-on into a tree.
Police say a 19-year-old Shelocta man was driving too fast for conditions Wednesday in a noontime accident on Route 210 in Cowanshannock Township. Colton Wofford escaped injury after he spun out in the middle of the highway. Wofford’s car hit the guide-rails, then spun around and hit them again.
