The three men charged with robbery and drug possession in an incident in Indiana Borough last December will have their preliminary hearings today in district court.
18-year-old Dakil Blair and 26-year-old Jamael Campbell, both from Pittsburgh, and 32-year-old Anthony Walker of Indiana were charged by Indiana Borough Police with various crimes connected with an incident on December 22nd in the 800 block of Grant Street. Police were called out initially on a trespassing call and discovered the three running from the scene. Borough Police were joined by IUP Police in the chase and the three were eventually apprehended. Campbell was in possession of a stolen Xbox taken from an apartment the men were in, and while they were being chased, Blair threw away a handgun, about 8 grams of crack cocaine, and 192 stamp bags of heroin. Walker had some drug paraphernalia on him and he was found to be wanted on a state corrections warrant.
Blair was charged with carrying a gun without a license, possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and trespass. Walker was charged with criminal trespass and possession of a controlled substance, and Campbell was charged with criminal trespass and burglary. The three were lodged in Indiana County Jail.
All three are due before District Judge Guy Haberl at 2:30 this afternoon.
