Indiana County Coroner Jerry Overman Jr. Saturday night released the name of a White Township man killed in a stabbing that morning in an apparent domestic incident at his home along Saddlebrook Drive. Overman says 66-year-old Daniel Zelenski died from apparent sharp force wounds. His body was found at 8:37 AM by state troopers who were responding to the reported stabbing of a woman at the home, identified as 59-year-old Brenda Zelenski, who was taken first to the Indiana Regional Medical center and then transferred to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, where she is listed in critical condition.
In other news, Indiana Borough police have charged 20-year-old Jake Diskin of Pittsburgh with simple assault and unlawful restraint after an incident early Saturday at an address along South 7th Street. Police say Diskin assaulted a victim unprovoked between 2 and 2:30 AM. No details have been reported on the victim.
