An arrest warrant has been issued for a New Florence man on a Megan’s Law violation. 24-year-old Carl DeWayne McIntire pleaded guilty in 2014 to corruption of minors for an incident the year before in Indiana County. He failed to appear for his annual verification as required of sex offenders subject to the state’s Megan’s Law.
McIntire lived in Black Lick at the time of the original crime. He was sentenced to three years of probation, with Megan’s Law requirements. Charges of statutory sexual assault of a victim between 4 and 8 years of age were not prosecuted. In January of 2016, McIntire was re-sentenced to three years of probation. Responsibility for Megan’s Law requirements was transferred to Westmoreland County when he moved to a home on Walnut Avenue in New Florence in March of 2016.
McIntire’s criminal history also includes a guilty plea to disorderly conduct in 2015, while living in Indiana, and a 2011 corruption of minors case for which her received probation.
McIntire’s is white, 5 feet 11 inches tall, and weighs about 180 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. State police in Greensburg are handling the case. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call 724-832-3288.
