Martha Lavetta Stiffler,100, of DuBois, PA and formerly of Cherry Tree, PA died on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital in DuBois, PA.
The daughter of Amos and Nelphie (Davis) McDonald, she was born on January 20, 1918 in Green Township, Indiana County, PA.
Martha was a graduate of Green Township High School. She had attended the Pine Grove Church of God.
She was married to Budd Stiffler for fifty-seven years until his death on December 8, 2002.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Leona Shank of Reynoldsville, PA and her son, Eugene Stiffler and wife Debra of Troy, PA; her five grandchildren: Brian and wife Brenda Shank, Catherine Shank, Gary Stiffler, Kimberly Stiffler and Kelly Hopkins; great granddaughter, Autumn Shank; two step grandchildren: Austin Wilson and Natalie Wilson and her sister, Genevieve Craver of Lancaster, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Budd; her son, Walter Stiffler; her son-in-law: Gary Shank; her three brothers: Mahlon; Leo and Arthur McDonald; her two sisters: Myrtle Davis and Lila Stiffler and her infant sister: Fordie Laird McDonald.
Family and friends will be received from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd., in Hillsdale, PA, where a 11:00 a.m. funeral service will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 with Brother Joseph Luzier officiating. Interment will be at Uniontown Cemetery in Cherry Tree, PA.
