The United Way of Indiana County exceeded their goal for the 2017-2018 campaign.
At this morning’s Breakfast meeting, the United Way announced that they raised $720,859 in this recent campaign. That’s more than the $717,000 goal that was set in September when the campaign started.
Laurie Kuzneski, the chairperson for this year’s fundraiser, said it was an unbelievable experience being the chair, especially the last few weeks. She mentioned that as the final checks came in, her excitement level went up, knowing that each check was bringing the campaign that much closer to the goal.
The United Way also named Joe Pittman as their next campaign chairman. Pittman is a representative from Senator Don White’s office and served as the vice-chair for this year’s campaign.
