The IUP women trailed by two points at the half at Clarion last night, then outscored the Golden Eagles by 26 points in the second half enroute to a 69-45 win.
It was the fifth straight win for IUP, which moved into a tie for first place. Megan Smith and Carolyn Appleby each scored 16 points, with Lauren Wolosik adding 14 and Audrey Stapelton contributing 12 off the bench.
The men blasted Clarion, 102-68, hitting 20 three-pointers. The 20 treys are the second most in IUP history, with Anthony Glover making seven and now 90 in his career, setting a new IUP record in the process.
Glover had 27 points, Cobo Diaz added 25 points and 11 rebounds, Dante Lombardi contributed 20 points and eight assists, and Blake Danielak getting 14 points.
The Crimson Hawks are 19-7 and 15-4 in the division with a two-game lead with three games to play.
The teams host California University Saturday night.
