BERNARD, DANIEL, 87 OF BLAIRSVILLE, PA passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Indian Haven, Indiana, PA. He was born July 20, 1930 in Derry Twp., PA son of the late August Bernard and Nancy Bernard. Daniel had served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He had worked at Westinghouse for many years as an electrician, retired from IUP and also was a state electrical inspector. He was a member of the BPOE #406 and VFW both of Blairsville. Daniel has served as a volunteer fireman for Blairsville in his earlier years. He enjoyed gardening, going on fishing trips to Canada, working at his son, Dan’s house, and being outdoors. He also was a fan of Pittsburgh Sports Teams. He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Rovison & husband, John, Blairsville, PA; son, Daniel T. Bernard, Blairsville, PA; daughter, Bonnie Bernard, Blairsville, PA; grandchildren: Natalee Palmer, Lindsey Henninger & husband, Brian; Aaron Resslar; Kyle Cecil and Elliott Bernard. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Bettina Bernard; sisters, Irene McIntire & Annie Muir and his grandchildren, Chad Palmer, Andrea Resslar & Jacob Bernard. In keeping with Dan’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.

Pennsylvania is one of fifteen states that does not require any form of identification in order to vote. Meanwhile, eight states require photo ID in order to vote with no exceptions. What should Pennsylvania do?
