The Indiana County Commissioners approved an updated Emergency Action Plan for a county dam.
The dam in question is the Cummings Dam at Blue Spruce Park, and Tom Stutzman with the county’s Emergency Management agency says the plan has been under examination for a few years and it was on the heels of a study of the dam itself. The dam is fine, so the plan was put forward to the county commissioners.
In other business, the commissioners approved the Human Services Block Grant Application. Tammy Calderone of the Armstrong and Indiana Behavioral and Developmental Health Project said the application will change how they receive their grant money from a piece-meal approach to a lump sum.
Also the commissioners made a proclamation for Black History Month, and also to make February 28th Spay Day for Indiana County as a reminder from SNIPP for people to spay and neuter their pets.
