Work, Clubs & Organizations: She was a member of SS Simon & Jude Church, Blairsville, PA.Good friends called her “Doro”. Dorothy had worked at Bell Telephone and retired as a secretary for Blairsville Machine Products Company. She was a member and past president of both the Quota Club International and Italian Club Ladies Auxiliary, both of Blairsville. She enjoyed playing in a bridge club for many years. Dorothy loved to travel to state and national conventions with the Quota Club and also to travel with her daughters and grandchildren. She loved her husband Pete, whom she had a wonderful marriage with for 49 ½ years. They owed the former bar,“Pete’s Place”, in Blairsville in the 1980’s. They loved to go to estate sales and frequent trips to Atlantic City. She was a novice crocheter. She loved reading her horoscope and books. She loved all of the family holiday dinners and birthdays making pizzelles and ravioli. Dorothy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Most of all she enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sports, music, church and school functions. She was a resident of St. Andrews Village the last 2 years of her life. She flourished while she lived there. She was active in bingo, crafts, singing karaoke, bus trips, exercising, baking & especially summers sitting outside on the beautiful patio where she wore her sunglasses and straw hats. All of the staff and friends called her “Hollywood”. Her family frequently took her out to holiday dinners, cookouts, shopping, for ice cream and trips to the casino.

A special thanks to all friends and family who took the time to send flowers and cards. She loved reading the cards over and over again.
In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
She will be buried in Blairsville Cemetery beside her husband, Pete.
