The Pittsburgh Penguins lost to the Dallas Stars 4-3 in an overtime shootout last night in Texas.
The Pens started the scoring with goals from Riley Sheahan at the 9:07 mark of the first, and Carl Hagelin scored an unassisted short-handed goal at the 10:54 mark. But Dallas would get on the board with Tyler Seguin scoring at the 17:57 mark of the first.
After a scoreless second period, Dallas would take the lead on goals from John Klingberg at 2:46 of the third, and Dan Hamhuis at the 6:47 mark. The Pens would tie and force the shootout on a goal by Justin Schultz with less than 2 minutes to go in the game. In the shootout, Seguin scored the eventual game winner in round two of the three-round shootout.
