Six people from Indiana, including the IUP Head Football Coach, made the list of the top 100 People in Business and Economic Development.
The annual list is compiled by the magazine Pennsylvania Business Central and profiles how the people have achieved greatness and how they live their lives away from the office.
On the list is IUP Head Football Coach Paul Tortarella. The magazine cited his successful first year at the helm of the IUP football team, which included a 13-1 record, an appearance in the NCAA Division II semifinals, and the number 1 ranking in a national poll.
Speaking of IUP, university president Michael Driscoll also made the list. His profile cites the his memberships on several boards, including the Center for Rural Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Economy League of Greater Pittsburgh, Indiana Healthcare Corporation and the Chamber of Commerce among his community interests.
Also on the list was:
- Laurie Kuzneski, the current chair of the United Way’s annual fundraising efforts, and the director of marketing and wellness with Kuzneski Insurance Group, and running “Miss Laurie’s Gourmet Kitchen” where people can learn to cook. She says the most rewarding part of her career is giving opportunities to others.
- Joe Reschini, President and CEO of the Reschini Group and Evergreen Insurance was honored for his work with his businesses and with his work with the chamber of commerce, and the Indiana Healthcare Foundation.
- Todd Brice, the President and CEO of S&T Bank was also on the list. Outside his work with S&T, he is a board member for the Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce, and the Pennsylvania Mountain Care Network, and is the chairman of the Pennsylvania Bank Association PAC.
- Thomas Harley of Harley Architects was honored for his work in organizations related to architecture and his volunteer work with the Optimists Club and their little league program.
