A Blairsville man is free on $25,000 unsecured bond after being charged with sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in 2014 and 2015.
33-year-old Stephen Mills is charged with two felony counts of aggravated indecent assault, four felony counts of corruption of minors, and two misdemeanor counts of indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age.
State police say the girl, who is now 16 years old, reported the alleged assaults to Indiana County Children and Youth Services, saying that it began in February of 2014. She said Mills told her he had “feelings” for her after he saw a picture of her attending a formal school dance.
Mills was arraigned on Friday and will have a preliminary hearing before District Judge Jennifer Rega on February 21st.
