INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police have charged an Indiana Man with retail theft and resisting arrest for an incident last night. Police were called at 10:02 PM to a convenience store in the 300 block of Philadelphia Street where it was reported that 52-year-old Peter Militz stole a pack of cigarettes. Police encountered Militz and as they tried to take him into custody, he fought with police and resisted. He was eventually taken into custody and police found the stolen cigarettes on his person. Along with the retail theft and resisting arrest charges, Militz faces a charge of disorderly conduct. Charges were filed through District Judge Guy Haberl’s office.
Indiana Borough Police are investigating another hit-and-run crash in the borough. This time, it was on January 24th in the 200 block of Rice Avenue between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. During that time, a white Chevy 4-door sedan was hit by another vehicle parked in the parking lot between Rice and West avenues.
