An IUP professor has announced her candidacy for Congressman Bill Shuster’s seat.
Susan Boser has announced she will run for the Democratic Party nomination in the upcoming primary election. Boser is a professor in the sociology department at IUP. In a statement made in a media release, Boser said she is running because she wants government to find solutions to help grow rural economies, and help small businesses thrive.
Boser is active in volunteer works through the Indiana County Sustainable Economic Development Task Force, the Indiana Food Co-Op, and is on the board of directors for the Community Guidance Center.
