Two crashes within minutes and a mile of each other closed a portion of Route 422 during morning rush hour this morning.
From what we know so far, two SUV’s collided in the Eastbound lanes of 422 and came to rest in the Southern Berm. As traffic behind them merged into the passing lane, two other SUVs were involved in a rear-end collision and those vehicles came to rest in the median.
Emergency workers say four people were taken to the hospital for treatment in connection with the crash, but no injury report is available right now. The circumstances surrounding both crashes are also not known at this time.
