Stella Sally (Pillock) Ross, 91, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Mountain View Care, Greensburg, PA.
The daughter of Frank and Stella Sally (Santision) Pillock, she was born April 15, 1926 in Colver, Cambria Co., PA.
Mrs. Ross was a member of the Hebron Lutheran Church, Blairsville, and worked 27 years at Torrance State Hospital, retiring in 1980.
She enjoyed playing bingo at the nursing home and watching her soap operas.
Surviving are her son, Duane M. Ross, Jr. (Birdie) of Blairsville; two daughters, Barbara Bozelli (Steve) of Elizabethtown and Rosemarie Moore (Greg) of Hillside; six grandchildren, Christy Stankiewicz, Steve Bozelli, John Moore, Jamie Williamson, Brian Ross and Duane Ross; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Harry Pillock of Harrisburg; two sisters, Ella Jane Houseman of Carlisle and Alice Strasser of Lanham, MD and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Duane M. Ross, Sr. on February 9, 2005; three brothers, Steve, Frank and John Pillock; five sisters, Anna Wesner, Frances Armillo, Rose Cohen, Mary Golding and Aline Michaels.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Ryan Kobert officiating.
Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville.

Pennsylvania is one of fifteen states that does not require any form of identification in order to vote. Meanwhile, eight states require photo ID in order to vote with no exceptions. What should Pennsylvania do?
