UPDATE:
All students are safe. All elementary and south middle school students will begin early dismissal to regular district buses beginning at 11 am. Parents/guardians are required to be at bus stops. If students do not have access to their home, they will be returned to evacuations sites.

Ligonier Valley School District evacuated all students Tuesday morning because of an unspecified threat.
“All district students have been evacuated to evacuation sites. All are safe,” said Superintendent Christine Oldham.
She said the district will issue more direction soon, but that parents should not call or report to schools or evacuation sites.
A SWIFT Alert was issued, and the district said it will continue to communicate through that system.
High school students were evacuated to a nearby barn and were told not to take their backpacks or purses with them.
