Dorothy “Virginia” (Nichol) Potts, 94, of Indiana, PA died Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the Communities at Indian Haven in Indiana, PA.
The daughter of David Lisle and Mary Anna (Moore) Nichol, she was born on April 25, 1923 in Commodore, PA.
Virginia attended the Indiana Church of the Brethren.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a housekeeper. She enjoyed working at the Indiana Historical and Genealogical Society and spending time with the other workers and visitors at the historical society.
In her spare time, Virginia could be found crocheting and knitting.
Virginia is survived by her sister, Norma Jean Potts of Indiana, PA; her stepson, Charles Potts and wife Carol of Indiana, PA; her nephew, William Nichol; niece, Cheryl Lucas and nephew, Thomas Potts.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1987; her mother in 1997; her brother, Edwin E. Nichol; her brother, Lloyd Bernell Nichol and her sister, Lavora Althea Nichol.
A private family graveside service will be held at East Mahoning Cemetery in Purchase Line, PA.
Virginia’s family wishes to extend their appreciation to Dr. Jamil Ahmed and the staff of the Communities at Indian Haven for their excellent care and kindness towards Virginia over the years.
Arrangements are with the assistance of the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA.
