The College Board yesterday released its 8th Annual AP District Honor Roll, recognizing school districts for increasing access to Advanced Placement courses while maintaining or improving the rate of students achieving scores of three or higher on AP exams.
One of the 43 school districts honored in Pennsylvania is the United School District. United offers nine AP courses, most of them in STEM disciplines. The district’s AP roster includes biology, calculus, chemistry, computer science, economics, literature, music theory, and physics 1 and physics 2. Successful AP students can earn college credit for attaining scores of 3 or higher, depending on each university’s standards.
The AP Honor Roll takes into consideration a school district’s performance measured over a three-year period.
