The IUP basketball teams swept a PSAC West doubleheader from Slippery Rock last night at the KCAC.
The women ran their record to 13-0 with a 76-50 win on the strength of a 24-5 second quarter. Four players hit double figures, led by Megan Smith, who tallied 22 points. Brittany Robinson almost had a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds, while Lauren Wolosik had 11 points. Halle Denman had eight assists with no turnovers.
The men increased their win streak to six, outlasting the Rock, 89-85, stopping their ten-game win streak. Anthony Glover set a career-high with 34 points, while Cobo Diaz had a double-double with 23 points and 13 rebounds. Dante Lombardi added 15 points.
Rock star Micah Till also had a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds. The Rock dropped to 12-3.
Wednesday night IUP will host East Stroudsburg in a crossover doubleheader on U92.5 FM starting at 5:15 for the pregame.
