Fire crews continue to battle a blaze in downtown Blairsville. Fourteen fire companies from across the region were summoned at about five o’clock this morning to the Fox’s Pizza building at Market and Stewart Streets. They found the building in flames, with fire shooting through the roof.
Ab Dettorre of the Blairsville Fire Department says they were able to extricate two people from sindie the building, and ladder trucks are pouring water on the top of the structure, while others saturate the neighboring building, which house a bar, to keep the flames at bay.
The upstairs of the Pizza Shop building reportedly contains at least one apartment. Visit our Facebook page for continuous updates from the scene with Josh Widdowson.
