The two people who were killed in a fire in Green Township early Sunday morning have been identified by one of their relatives, and a fundraising website has been set up to help the family.
Tracy Davis told Your Hometown Radio Stations that the two people who died in the fire were her mother, Connie Davis Shields and Tracy’s son Jeremy. Fire crews were initially called out to the scene along Two Lick Road around 1:00 AM and found the trailer fully engulfed in flames. Searchers found one of the victims about an hour after they arrived, and several hours later, found the second victim. Fire crews from Cherryhill Township, Clymer, Commodore, Pine Township and Nicktown were on the scene fighting the fire and helping with recovery efforts, along with the county’s RIG team.
The state police fire marshal from Greensburg conducted an investigation into the cause of the fire, which has not been released as of yet. The fire is not believed to be suspicious.
Leona Johnson, a friend of the family, has set up a website to help raise funds for Tracy and her family. You can find the webpage at https://www.youcaring.com/conniedavisshieldsandjeremydavis-1061935
