INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police have charged a rural valley man with criminal trespass and have issued a warrant for his arrest. Police say on December 22nd, they were called to a home in the 800 block of Philadelphia Street for a report of trespassing. When they got there, multiple men started to run away from the scene, including 31-year-old David Holbein. While officers were arresting the three other men, Holbein was able to get away. An arrest warrant has been issued on charges of criminal trespass and burglary. If you have any information, call police at 724-349-2121.
Two people from Allegheny County have been charged with drug-related crimes in Indiana Borough. Police say on December 9th, around 9:19 PM, Police found 27-year-old Adam Coy of Tarentum and 24-year-old Rachel Sickler from Munhall were caught by police in the 200 block of Philadelphia street in Possession of marijuana, and Sickler was also in possession of drug paraphernalia and pills that weren’t prescribed to her.
One day later, borough police charged 25-year-old Eric Edwards of Coral with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. This was in the 300 block of Church Street.

One driver was injured in a three-vehicle crash in Derry Township. State Police say Rita Treager of Latrobe, Sandra Benedict of New Derry and Joshua Ladd of Derry were driving North on 982 and as they approached a house, Benedict slowed down and turned on her signal to turn left into her driveway. Ladd hit the brakes, and started to slide on the snow covered road. The car swerved into the oncoming lane, while Treager’s car also lost control. Treager’s car hit Benedtict’s car as she turned into her driveway, and then hit Ladd’s car. Treager’s car and Ladd’s car ended up partially on Route 982 and Benedict’s car wound up in her front yard. Benedict was taken to Latrobe Hospital with unknown injuries.
