State Police have released more information on the fatal crash in East Wheatfield Township Friday morning.
Troopers identified the victim as 21-year-old Ryan Decker of Armagh. He was behind the wheel of a Chevy Cavalier driving west along route 56 when the crash happened. Police say around 8:41 AM, 32-year-old Joshua Swope of Northern Cambria was driving a tri-axle truck East on Route 56 and while going through a right curve in the roadway when it crossed the center line and went into the westbound lane, hitting Decker’s car nearly head-on. The impact put Decker’s car on the embankment on the north side of the roadway.
Armagh/East Wheatfield, Clyde, and Brush valley fire departments were on the scene along with the County Coroner’s Office, Citizen’s ambulance, PennDOT, and the County’s Emergency Management Agency.
