Firefighters in Derry Township were busy with a house fire Friday afternoon.
Blairsville Firefighters were called in at 4:29 PM to help Westmoreland county firefighters, who had been on the scene since 3:30 PM. Reports say that large flames were seen going through the roof, and there was a partial collapse of the first floor into the basement. No word on if anyone was in the house at the time of the fire.
Buses were brought in as shelters for the firefighters to warm up while on the scene.
