One of the crashes that we reported on this morning claimed the life of one person.
State Police along with Armagh/East Wheatfield and Clyde fire departments, the county coroner and Citizen’s Ambulance were called out to Route 56 at 8:38 this morning for a report of a motor vehicle accident with entrapment near the United High School. Reports say that two vehicles were involved, and one of those vehicles was a coal truck.
The name of the victim has not been released yet, nor have any details on how the crash happened.
This crash was one of several incidents that kept first responders busy this morning. At 7:27 this morning, Clyde and Armagh fire crews were called out for another accident on Route 22 East in East Wheatfield Township. The same fire companies were called out for a gas leak on East Philadelphia Street extension in East Wheatfield Township at 9:38.
Saltsburg and Tunnelton fire departments were called out at 10:22 for a crash in front of the Jacksonville family practice. Scanner reports confirmed the car rolled over but one person was pulled out of the vehicle.
And Indiana Fire Association members were at Specialty Tire for an automatic fire alarm activation.
