It may be a coincidence, but the winter weather may have been responsible for a rash of vehicle accidents in Indiana County on Friday.
Few details are available on a crash on Route 711 in East Wheatfield Township around 1:04 in the morning on Friday. Armagh Fire Department was dispatched for that call. A vehicle fire was reported at 11:32 on Fieldstone Drive in White Township, and that brought Indiana Fire Company 4 to the scene.
At 12:25 PM, A crash was reported on Route 22 at Route 259 in West Wheatfield Township. That brought Clyde and Armagh/East Wheatfield Township fire departments out, along with State Police and Citizens Ambulance. Indiana County 911 said that one vehicle went into a cement barrier. Within the hour, another crash was reported on Route 119 in Center Township, where a vehicle overturned. No injuries were reported and Homer City Fire Department was called out along with the State Police.
Details are available on a crash in Northern Indiana County where one person was injured. The crash was along Route 286 East in Green Township at 10:38 PM. Commodore Fire Department was on the scene, and they report that the vehicle went into an embankment and rolled over. The driver was already out of the vehicle when rescue crews got there.
