Multiple fire departments were called out to a house fire in Blacklick Township.
The fire was in a log cabin-type style home on Hemlock Drive. Blacklick Fire Department’s 2nd assistant chief Dan Shacreaw said that the Blairsville, Altman, Homer City, Coral-Graceton and Coal Run Fire departments were called in to provide tanker assist as there were no fire hydrants in the area. The fire was contained to a wall and ceiling near the fireplace, and officials believe the fire may have started in the flue.
No one was injured and the damage was limited to smoke and water damage.
