State police have issued a new batch of accident reports as the winter weather continues to affect area drivers.
A Somerset County man escaped injury yesterday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Route 22 in West Wheatfield Township. Police say 69-year-old Donald Allen of Hollsopple hit a large patch of ice on a bridge in the westbound lane, then hit a concrete barrier that separated the directional lanes.
No one was injured Tuesday afternoon when a Pittsburgh woman slid on a patch of snow on Route 22, also in West Wheatfield Township, crashing into another vehicle that was about to enter the highway. 20-year-old Maddaline Dalessandri’s vehicle struck the vehicle of 54-year-old Susanne Frye of Indiana as Frye approached the stop sign at Jessie Penrose Road.
An Indiana man escaped injury in a December 17th crash on Route 403 in Cherryhill Township. Police say 33-year-old John Kubalek’s truck struck an embankment near Kenwood Road.
