Two men from Pittsburgh and an Indiana Man now face firearm violations charges, along with trespass, burglary and possession of a controlled substance.
Indiana Borough Police say that 18-year-old Dakil Blair and 25-year-old Jamael Campbell, both of Pittsburgh, and 31-year-old Anthony Walker of Indiana now face those charges connected with an incident Friday afternoon. Police were called to the 800 block of Grant Street around 2:27 in the afternoon for a report of trespassing. The three ran from the scene, and Borough Police were joined by IUP Police in chasing the men. They were eventually caught and taken into custody. Campbell was found in possession of an Xbox that was taken from the apartment the men were in. During the chase, Blair threw away a handgun, along with 192 stamp bags of heroin, and about 8 grams of crack cocaine. And when he was arrested, Walker was found to be wanted on a state corrections warrant. He also had some drug paraphernalia.
Blair was charged with carrying a firearm without a license, possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and trespass. Walker was charged with criminal trespass, and possession of a controlled substance, and Campbell was charged with criminal trespass and burglary. The three were taken to Indiana County Jail and were arraigned in front of District Judge Guy Haberl.
