The Pitt Panthers basketball team beat the Towson Tigers 63-59 at the Petersen Events Center Friday night. Pitt had a bit of an off night, shooting 39.3% from the field, and missed 21 of 28 from beyond the arc. Pitt trailed for a good chunk of the game but a scoring spurt with about 4:30 remaining that gave the Panthers the lead with less than a minute to go.
The Panthers are back in action on December 30th against the University of Miami, Florida Hurricanes.
