WHITE TOWNSHIP
An Indiana woman suspected of shoplifting at the White Township Walmart store is charged as a felon because of seven prior convictions. State police say 39-year-old Crystal Depetris went through the self checkout line last Saturday afternoon, but didn’t pay for everything in her cart. Police say she stole a microwave, waste baskets, a soap pump,, and shower hooks. The total value of the items was $141. Depetris is charged with felony retail theft.
State police are investigating the theft of a handgun from a vehicle parked along Route 22 in Burrell Township. The Ruger LC9 pistol went missing between December 8th and 12th. It’s owned by James Jefferson of Apollo.
CHERRYHILL TOWNSHIP
A Penn Run man who thought he was taking out a loan for his son ended up getting scammed out of $1,723. Police say the 52-year-old victim provided his bank account information and sent money-grams to the so-called loan company last Thursday.
BURRELL TOWNSHIP

WHITE TOWNSHIP
A domestic incident turned violent Tuesday morning at an apartment along Lazor Street in White Township. State police say two 19-year-olds, James Williamson and Lakeysha Redman were arguing when Redman grabbed a sword. The two struggled and Redman suffered a cut on her forearm. Williamson cut his hand. Police say Redman also had injuries to her head from being pushed into a metal door and Williamson was bit on the arm. Neither required medical attention. Both were charged with simple assault and placed in the Indiana County Jail, with bond for each set at $5,000.
