An SCI Pine Grove prison inmate from Lehigh County has been charged with assaulting two corrections officers.
21-year-old Tyquan Morris of Allentown is accused of attacking the guards last Thursday afternoon when he refused to move from his cell as ordered. Morris is serving time for a robbery and rape he and another man committed in 2013. The new charges include two counts each of aggravated assault, simple assault, and harassment, and a single count of disorderly conduct.
Police do not say if the guards were injured. Both are men, one from Pittsburgh and the other from Spring Church.
