Edward Arthur Gordish, 84, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017 at Beacon Ridge, Indiana, PA.
The son of Theodore E. and Julia (Toldi) Gordish, he was born August 30, 1933 in Iselin, PA.
Prior to his retirement, he worked for Tunnelton Mining.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren, going fishing in Florida and making fly rods.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Mary Jane (Shaffer) Gordish whom he married July 8, 1957; three children, Theodore E. Gordish of Blairsville; Mark Anthony Gordish (Linda) of Lucernemines and Rebekah R. Brown (Brian) of Blairsville; five grandchildren, Alicia Hippchen, Nicole Goldberg, A.J. Gordish, Courtney Bollinger and Brady Bollinger; five great grandchildren; a brother, Theodore P. Gordish (Virginia) of Homer City; and two sisters, Ramona Cushion (Jim) of Blairsville and Vivian Decker of Blairsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Andy in 2005 and a sister, Pearl Sleigh.
As per the wishes of Mr. Gordish, there will be no visitation or service.

Pennsylvania is one of fifteen states that does not require any form of identification in order to vote. Meanwhile, eight states require photo ID in order to vote with no exceptions. What should Pennsylvania do?
