Authorities in Cambria County conducted a drug sweep on Wednesday, with twenty-two suspects identified as drug dealers. Sixteen were taken into custody on Wednesday. Some may still be at large.
The suspects all sold drugs to informants or undercover officers. Five of them are from Northern Cambria, four from Nanty Glo, four from Patton, two from Hastings, and one each from Westover, Carrolltown, Portage, Ebensburg, Salix, and Pittsburgh. One had no city address listed, although she is accused of selling drugs in Blacklick Township, in the Nanty Glo area.
The drugs were illicit narcotics such as heroin, cocaine, and fentanyl, and prescription substances, mostly suboxone, oxycodone, and other substances identified by their chemical name.
The agencies involved included police members of the Cambria County Drug Task Force, local police departments in the towns in which drugs were sold, the FBI, the state Attorney General’s Task Force, the U.S. Marshal Service, and the Safe Streets Task Force.

- 41-year-old Michele Rankin, Nanty Glo
- 20-year-old Kaylee Sherry, Nanty Glo
- 39-year-old Tina Steele, Nanty Glo
- 39-year-old Jennifer Shomo, Patton
- 30-year-old Casey Jo Weakland, Patton
- 31-year-old Christopher Lamont, Patton
- 35-year-old Angela Nagle, Patton
- 39-year-old Tabitha Mullins, Hastings
- 29-year-old Darrell Wholaver, Hastings
- 33-year-old Ranay Ellis, Ebensburg
- 30-year-old Joseph Lechene, Carrolltown
- 21-year-old Aaron Pinkston, Portage
