State Police arrested a Creekside man on DUI charges in late November. Police say on November 24th, they pulled over a 56-year-old Creekside man who was operating a vehicle while under the influence of narcotics. At the time of the arrest, the man was also found to have marijuana on his person.
State Police report that a woman who has been charged with theft by deception at the White Township Wal-Mart has charged her with another swipe-and-swap scam. This time, the incident happened on December 2nd around 5:16 PM. Police say that 32-year-old Breanna Novosel took two toys off the shelf and took them to the customer service desk to return the items for a refund. She received a gift card valued at $100.29. Novosel reportedly did the same thing earlier this week, but police said took an espresso machine instead of toys.
INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police have charged two people with retail theft for an incident back in October. Police say that on two separate occasions between October 13th and 14th, nine pairs of Quay sunglasses were stolen from the Meraki Boutique on Grant Street. Investigations revealed that the suspects involved were 18-year-old Rikki Cornitcher of Philadelphia and 19-year-old Adriana Maradiaga-Portillo. Criminal complaints chargint the two with theft have been filed through district judge Guy Haberl’s office.
