For a second straight day, Indiana County prepares for snow, and this time the forecasters are predicting a more significant accumulation.
The National Weather Service hourly forecast predicts snow showers beginning at about 5 o’clock this afternoon, just as night is falling, and then intensifying from around 7 PM through 3 o’clock tomorrow morning before tapering off. In all, the forecast settles on a total accumulation of 3 to 5 inches, with gusting winds creating poor visibility and the possibility of drifting snow. By six o’clock tomorrow morning, the snow should be about over.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued from 4 o’clock this afternoon through 7 AM tomorrow. Our Renda Broadcasting Stormcenter will be in action as needed for school delays and closures.
