An Indiana man has been charged with simple assault and terroristic threats for allegedly attacking a woman in a domestic incident that started as she was driving him to their home along Philadelphia Street in White Township last Wednesday.
State police say 39-year-old Douglas Taylor threatened to strangle the 41-year-old woman with a cell phone charger cord as she was driving, and then when they got home, he assaulted her, causing visible bruising to her right shoulder.
Taylor was picked up on an arrest warrant on Friday afternoon. Additional charges include harassment and disorderly conduct. He was arraigned before District Judge Jennifer Rega and ordered to the Indiana County Jail, with bond set at $10,000.
