IUP senior safety Max Redfield has been named first team All-America by the American Football Coaches Association.
Redfield is third in team tackles, second in interceptions with four, and among the nation’s leaders in passes defended in 13 games. He is the first IUP player since Akawsi Owusu-Ansah in 2009 to win the award.
Redfield is currently recovering from a dislocated hip suffered in last Saturday’s playoff game.
