Once again, it came down to the wire, but the Steelers escaped Cincinatti with a 23-20 win over the Bengals.
Steelers kicker Chris Boswell drilled a 38-yard field goal as time expired, as the Steelers improved to 10-2 and the Bengals fell to 5-7. The Steelers’ Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown each gained more than 100 receiving yards and scored receiving touchdowns.
Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger passed for 290 yards, as the Steelers overcame a lackluster first half in which they were outgained in yardage, 253-126, and trailed, 17-0. Boswell hit a field goal just before halftime.
Most of the attention, though, was on Ryan Shazier, as the pro bowl linebacker suffered a back injury while making a tackle in the early part of the game. Reports say that he is improving at a hospital in Cincinnati and that he will not need surgery at this time. The Steelers are hoping he will return to Pittsburgh later today.
