INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police are reporting another theft from a motor vehicle. Sometime between 9:00 PM on Sunday and 7:30 AM on Monday, someone was able to get into a vehicle parked in the 1300 block of Philadelphia Street and stole several items. What was taken was not announced by police, but police say the car was unlocked at the time. Anyone with information is asked to call Indiana Borough Police at 724-349-2121, and police are reminding everyone to be sure your car is locked when leaving it.
Indiana Borough are investigating another case of theft in the 1300 block of Philadelphia Street. In this case, which occurred sometime last week, police say someone stole a Stihl weed wacker from the back porch of a home. If you have any information, call police.

One person was hurt in a crash in West Wheatfield Township on Sunday. State Police say the crash was on Route 259 near Penrose Hollow Road. A car driven by Letoya Harvey of Seward was going south when an animal came on the roadway from the left side. She swerved her vehicle to the right and hit an embankment on the right side of the road, causing the car to roll onto its top. The car went about 25 feet before flipping back onto its tires and stopping, blocking both lanes of travel. Harvey had an injury of unknown severity, while her passenger, Michael Dennison of Seward, was not injured. Harvey will be cited for driving on roadways not laned for traffic.
Another theft from a motor vehicle was reported last weekend in West Wheatfield Township. State Police say that $380 in cash and some medicine was stolen from a purse, which was in a car belonging to Robin Shetler of New Florence. The car was parked outside of her residence and happened between December 1st and 2nd.
